THE SEAMAN‘S WOOL HAT – A PASSION

The Beanie is, without a doubt, the classic among wool hats. The form as well as the pattern are absolutely timeless. When well-knitted, it‘s cleary defined structure is plainly visible. The double foldover and, with it, the double layer of woool, is what keeps the ears especially warm. The top quality merino wool I use offers even more – not only does it hold the warmth in, but also regulates temperature. Therefore it doesn‘t only act as a great protection from the sun but helps to keep a cool head.

The combination of clarity, durability, straightforwardness, and, at the same time, flexibility and freedom, all add to the attractiveness of this umcomplicated hat. The Beanie is minimalistic and simply awesome. Not part of any trend – just a timeless favorite.

MORE THAN JUST A HAT

The Beanie is, plain and simple – cool! Everybody wears them: women and men, girls and boys, ladies and gentlemen, hipsters and hippies, guys n’ gals, rascals and brats, young and not so young. Because of it‘s ubiquity and timelessness, in classic colours, it‘s the perfect accessory for every situation and goes just as well with a smart suit, an elegant skirt or summer dress as with a hoodie or t-shirt.

Just as flexible is the shorter version of the seaman‘s wool hat. One could say it‘s the little sister of my HANDMADE Classics, called Anchoreve‘s Model MANUFACTURED. This means it‘s not handmade but produced with the same passion and made in Germany.

A further extension of Anchoreve‘s collection is the cap. Here we‘re talking Snapbacks. Quality and perfect fit are self evident. The cap‘s peak gives lot of shades and is perfect for summer. The caps get the finishing touches in Hamburg, where they get that special something in the form of an embroidered emblem.

But above all the sporty nonchalence, the classic Beanie convinces because of the quality. For the most parts hats are handknitted by me during the summer months or on demand, using selected high quality merino wool.

Another feature of all hats from Anchoreve – wheather handmade or factory produced – is the personalised anchor label, with six stitches, three visible – sown with colour matched yarn.

The handknitted Beanie hats are available in classic colours such as black, navy, bordeaux red, charcoal grey, ocean blue and mottled grey.
